ROCK, WVA |
|
Rock West Virginia is what is commonly referred to as a “hole in the road town” in the Appalachian Mountains of Mercer County West Virginia. There are lots of towns like Rock in the coalfields of Appalachia; however, few of them actually have had as much impact on the history of soda bottling in the mountains than Rock relative to its size. Unlike many of these small town bottlers, Rock had it’s own brand, Rock Cliff Ginger Ale, and it was very popular for at least forty years. Unfortunately the brand is lost to the ages leaving us only with the bottles to remember it by. |
