Unaka Bottling Works

The Unaka Bottling Works is listed in the city directory as being located at 114 East Market Street in 1911(1); however, the Sanborn maps 1913 shows this address as a hardware store. On what was an empty lot on the 1908 Sanborn map, 116 East Market Street, we find a bottling works has been built which makes this a much more likely location for Unaka Bottling Works. The only thing is that according to the 1913 city directory this is the location of the Johnson City Bottling Works(1), which must mean that they purchased the former bottling works as they were located at 103 West Market Street in 1911.(1)
